Metacognition is thinking about your thinking. There are benefits about metacognition, which teaches us how to learn deeply and be flexible in using our knowledge and skills, evaluate problem-sloving efforts, active and apply prior knowledge, and utilize critical thinking skills. There are strategies such as metacognitive conversation and to think aloud.
The words you write ring true about the concept of metacognition. What I am most curious about is your experience in class with the 'Think Aloud' and how you think metacognition may benefit you as a student.
