People in Thailand are suffering from this crisis, which lasts for some 3 months. Thousands of people are lacking of food and water supplies. They are having difficulties living in filthy floodwater, however Thai people are getting inventive and creative, they are trying to think of new innovations to help them adapt to their current situations, they invented useful devices such as floating toilets, jet skis, and a flood alarm. Thais have been very inventive with minimal resources.
All Thais are worried about their houses and all of their properties. They have to sit and wait for the floodwater to come, you have to stay awake all night because you are concerned that the water will come when you are asleep. Students from Mongkhut University in Bangkok with Baan Arsa Jaidee have created a flood alarm using piping and a ping-pong ball. The rising water presses the ping-pong ball up, which triggers the alarm. I think this is the most creative innovation because we all don’t know when will the floodwater arrive, instead of having to sit and stay awake every night you can take a nap. Just by using simple materials, you can create this valuable flood alarm, it gives you enough warning to get your family to safety. This is the best innovation for me because it is practical, useful and easy to make, it also allows us to have a good sleep not having to worry about the floodwater.

In the first paragraph, in those opening sentences, you show compassion through your word choices (I especially liked the use of "filthy"), while also remaining factual. You have a clear transition in your paragraph, leading up to the invention you choose to focus on in the second paragraph.
In the second paragraph, you build a real sense of compassion by drawing on emotions. You describe how terrible it is to be so scared of flooding that people can't sleep at night. Then you describe the ping pong innovation, thus supporting the ideas in your first paragraph about how Thais are responding to the floods through innovations.
i really liked your paragraphs it gives a picture easily to think in my mind. i can also imagine how terrible it will be staying up all night scared of the flood. overall i loved it very much and i feel sorry about the affected people in the flood.

I like your word choices such as filthy floodwater, minimal resources, and valuable flood alarm. I agree with you that the ping pong ball alarm system was really creative. You explained how the alarm works in details which helps me to get a better picture of the system. I've heard about the alarm in the radio before, but after reading your post, I now know exactly how it looks like. Just one flaw in your post, you should add another paragraph explaining an invention you would create to help with the flood issue. Despite that, the post was excellent!

I like how you start off your story, the first paragraph really drag my attention. I just learn from you about the pingpong ball alarm system and i think that it is very creative, i also like how you had explained in details about the benefits of using these pingpong alarm system,who invented it and how it works. In general, this innovation is really new and interesting!
